im new here could some one please help me learn japanese i really want to go to japan so i want to make some friends and know the language

But while there are people on the forum who know Japanese, (MMM for example) it is pretty much impossible for them to actually TEACH you. The most they can (and sometimes want) to do is help you through your learning process by reinforcing what you are learning on your own. It is really hard to teach as apposed to help.I will say that you should start with the basic Kana and for that you really don't need a book. (They're everywhere on the internet.) But as far as grammar goes, you want to be careful about using the net. So I suggest getting some books that fit your learning style, begin your learning, and use Japanforum/members as more of a supplementary tool. Good Luck!
