Konichiwa! Need help with Japanese

Konichiwa.

I'm an Emglish speaking person that is looking for a friend or someone who is willing to help me with Japanese.

I was in a Japanese class until a few days ago but had to quit because of lack of time. I really want to keep learning but have no way to. I will gladly help people with English if they help me with Japanese.

PS: I feel I should tell people now that I have learned more then the basics and was in my second year of japanese. I am working on Kanji.

Let's start with a few basic phrases:

ohayoh= good morning
ohayoh gozaimasu= good morning (polite)
konnichiwa= hello/good afternoon
konbanwa= good evening
sayohnara= goodbye
oyasumi nasai= good night
arigatoh= thank you
arigatoh gozaimasu= thank you (polite)
sumimasen= excuse me/i'm sorry
iie= no/not at all
ittekimasu= i'll go and come back
itterasshai= please go and come back
tadaima= i'm home
okaerinasai= welcome home
itadakimasu= thank you for the meal (before eating)
gochisoh sama= thank you for the meal (after eating)
hajimemashite= how do you do?
dohzo yoroshiku= nice to meet you

I wish people spelt "Konnichiwa" correctly. Use double n, please!

Konnichiwa = こんにちは >> Correct phrase.

Konichiwa = こにちは >> Incorect and non-existing phrase.

There's a HUGE pronunciation difference between these two.

In my Japanese class we were taught otherwise and I am spelling it that way in Romanji since it isn't Kon-ni-chi-wa but Ko-ni-chi-wa

its connichiwa こんにちは　今日は it is connichiwa because you read the first kanji as con the the second as nichi then the hiragana ha(read wa). also why wouldnt you believe the Japanese person :P .

I have never seen it written with a c. I've always seen it as konnichi wa.

It's not at all arigatoh. I've only seen it as arigato, or arigatou.

same with ohayou, sayonara, and doozo. Which can also be written as douzo, right?

LMAO You made my day! I'm a native speakr of Japanese, and you're not but are trying to teach me how to write 'hello' in my own language!!

It's always こんにちは, and NEVER こにちは, period!

First off, Nagoyankee is right, it is konnichiwa (こんにちは) and there are no exceptions to that. It's one of the reasons why you shouldn't learn Japanese using romaji.

今日は is actually read 'kyou wa', or "today is..."

I am sorry about saying that but I was tought by my teacher, a Japanese speaker from Japan and when I tried to write it with a double n shse crossed off the first and said use only one. I didn't mean anything by it, just that, I was taught that way.
