日本語/English - 04-21-2008, 03:00 AM

こんばんわ~
Hey, I'm currently taking japanese through school, but it is online and I am the only one taking japanese in my entire school. I want to talk to someone in japanese who knows the language well enough to talk and can type using japanese characters. I know some kanji but not a lot so I would also like to practice those a bit more. Exams are coming up and I need to work on my japanese.

I dought I'd be much help, but if anyone is willing to help with japanese I am also interested in helping with english!

Basic Info!
高校生
一六歳

アメリカ人

こんにちは~ JFへようこそ!

Please feel free to ask questions in the Language help section. You can also post in the Japanese Chat thread. You only need to use the kanji you already know in the thread. People will assist you in learning new kanji as well.

I hate to correct so quickly but

It's こんばんは, not こんばんわ. The former is how it's written, and the latter only how it's pronounced. It's the particle は.

がんばってね~!

そうだね~
I'm afraid that my spelling is bad in both English and Japanese! -^^-
I often mess up the characters わ and は so I will be sure to remember that for the next time that I write it.

Thank you for the quick advice and the correction.

ありがとございました!

No problem! You already show good signs of your true interest in using the real Japanese writing systems.

Ask general questions about the language in:

http://www.japanforum.com/forum/japa...nslations.html

Share your favorite kanji or ask kanji questions in:

http://www.japanforum.com/forum/japa...nji-kraze.html

If you want to chat in Japanese, go to:

http://www.japanforum.com/forum/japa...haracters.html

Finally, it's ありがとう, not ありがと.
