When you come to Japan, just let me know! I guess you are under 30y-o right? then you can get a Working-Holiday visa to come to Japan, to study and work for a year or more. If you speak Japanese and English (as a native speaker), then getting a job is very easy! Quote:
It's not only me you can be friends with, I work for an English school and they are very interested in Australia too, so they will be more than happy to be friends with you. When you have enough money to buy air ticket, just come to our town! I can arrange "homestay" for you, so that you can stay there almost for free! |

I didn't hate English as a subject, but it was very difficult and wasn't interested until I was 18 or 19 when I had penfriends. Exchanging letters with them was fun then I was getting interested more and more in countries&cultures where English is spoken. How about you? When you first heard people speak Japanese, What did it sound like? Some people told me it sounds like "machine-gun". |

Why do you need English?
If you want English lessons for the purpose of teaching your class; it is always good to create an interactive way of learning, it is more stimulating. A good example would be to disallow your class to use anything but Romanji and to promote role playing and speaking in class. |

umm to me it doesn't sound very much like a machine gun. Really i don't have very much words to explain the way it sounds, but the language has a lot of "S" sounds in it...like um kinda like a machine gun,but not too much. Lets just say its like a soft machine gun and alot of "s" sounds in it....ah! it's too hard to explain but to me it sounds Heavenly to me. |

Then you MUST come and visit our school! We might need another English teacher by then, if you are interested, just let me know! We have Japanese language classes too, and it's only 1000yen per lesson! Me or other Native Japanese girl will teach there. Quote:
Yes, I teach Japanese kids to adult basic English. I can't teach like native English speakers do, but for the beginners, I could be usuful&helpful, cos I can tell them how I learned English. Today, I told the students (all girls over 20s-30s) something like this.... me: What would you say if a guy said "You are pretty/beautiful!" to you? the girls: I would say "Thank you" me: I would say " I know!" the girls: *laugh* "It's a good idea!" That's one of the things I can tell the beginners, from my experience. Japanese are besically shy when they have to talk to foreigners, They are trying to be very very nice and kind to them, which is really good but they could be too serious and tired. I really want them to relax and sometimes to joke, then everyone can enjoy. Quote:
That's what all of my friends told me when I decided to travel Europe by myself. But, actually I met great people there. They were really really nice and kind and helful and all that! Well, I meant what I said to you. If it sounded "too good" to scared you, sorry! haha. Quote:
We had the winter Olympic Games here. It's about 1.5 hour from Tokyo by "Shinkansen". My students will love to be penfriends with you, Let me send you our address and the details later, I have to go to bed right now...it's 5am! I am so unhealthy!! |
