I feel sorry for japanese people who post their threads like this. English language is a good skill to have but when they teach in it in public schools in japan i dont see the point.

Shuka, your English is good enough to have a conversation on this website then you don't need anyones help. Just be confident and you'll be fine!

The vast majority of replies to these kind of threads is a storm of noobs from the "sugoipockykawaii" group that are dying to jump on the bandwagon so they can go around telling other group members about how amazing they are cuz they have a japanese friend.

@95% of the posters: you cannot actively help her English cuz you DO NOT SPEAK JAPANESE. Its like a blind man asking a mute what colour his shirt is. FFS.. If anymore acts of sugoipockykawaii appear I'll end up getting banned for my rage..

I agree. Shuka, if you can speak English well enough as you can write, you will have not very many problems interacting with understanding, native English speakers.

Shadow, why is so important to bring up your dislike of "fad" Japanese culture fans so frequently? We got the point the first couple of times. Actually, you could say that complaining about people who use perceived relations with Japanese individuals as social elitism is elitism in itself.

"Hey, desu! I don't like people who think they're all that because they know a Japanese person, desu!"

Fortunately, there is one woman in this world who can control me.

Unfortunately for you, she is not here.

I don't "want" anything...just voicing my opinion.

Not exactly. That was just a concise demonstration of the central post idea in one easy-to-read statement.

>Shad0w and Koir

As you may know, we Japanese are mainly taught English by reading or writing in Japan. Therefore, in speaking English, I am confused and cannot speak it correctly. Only what I desire is making a friend of a native speaker who listen my broken English in patience and sometimes points what was wrong in my speaking English...... I wanted to have more opportunity to talk with native speakers.

If my previous threads were inappropriate to post in this site, please forgive me, all.........

Your posts were more than appropriate, Shuka. There are just some people on this forum, who have a too big of an ego and love to argue in every thread they post in.

But what was said earlier was right, if you have the vocabulary and the grammar to write this good, you should not have any problems speaking English as long as you do it with a tad of confidence...

Don't you have any native English speakers in your everyday environment? Work/School/Neighborhood?

I would love to help, but i can't due to the fact that i do not live anywhere near the states and i am not a native English speaker either. X)
