Hey Melanie, while there are some Japanese members on this site, most of their English is really good so Language exchange offers like this often go unanswered. :/ The best place I can recommend is Lang-8 - Multi-lingual language learning and language exchange | Lang-8 and when you have questions you can ask here;

Hi, Mel.

I would be positive to be a pen pal to assist you to learn better Japanese.

I can command probably good English enough to help you in doing so in both
Japanese and English.

I am a senior director of an IT company in Tokyo.

I have been engaged in space commercial projects and business in Australia for a while.

Looking forward to having your response by return.

SteadyBear

Going slowly and carefully, though.

Hi Steadybear,
It'd be great to have you as a penpal. Do you prefer to communicate through this thread or by email?

Hello, my name is Nabe. I am a Japanese university student. I am just seeking friends to study English. I can teach you Japanese probably. But my English skill is very poor, so I am sorry if you don't understand what I said and my response is very slowly. If you like, could I become a friend of you?

I have a Japanese Speaking test coming up soon and I'd love to have someone to practice to. Do you have skype?
