Actually, these are not my pictures but linkable images taken from here at
Kobe-mari that collects desktop wallpapers. I know I should make my own collection some day.
The city has been fully rebuilt. The Bridge completed in 1998, linking Kobe and Osaka with Awajishima and Shikoku. Kobe hosted FIFA World Cup in 2002 at
this stadium. The airport opened in 2006 to the south of Port Island which has begun attracting healthcare companies, hospitals, research institutes like RIKEN, and universities, including Konan University, since 1998. RIKEN is building a next-gereration, world's fastest supercomputing complex in Port Island.
