since you are canadian, as long as you speak english well (if you are french speaking canadian with little french accent) then you will have no problems. those countries are for Working Holiday Visas but people from any country can get a Working Visa with sponsorship from the employer.

Working Holiday Visa - A visa where you main intention should be for visiting the country but you may work to help afford your travels in the country.
Japan has, from my understanding, no limit on the number of hours you can work so effectively you can, one you have the visa, stay and work in just the one place. I believe Australia in comparison has a limit of no more than 3 months in one job for the 1 year visa. This may have changed as it was some years ago. |

I'm from the UK. I like Japan and I intend to visit, but to live there for foreigners it would be extremely difficult. First theres the language barrier which is crucial you over come, and things are so different over there, it's like a different world I'm sure.
I'm happy here to be honest, I intend to stay here to get a career but I do want to go to Japan sometime in the future, sometime in my gap year between 6th form and university. |
