How do i find Otaku? - 03-28-2008, 02:57 PM

Just curious as to how i would find an Otaku thats confident enough to talk to a foreigner? I reckon they are awsome lol with all the fads they are just like kid's ^.^ so yeh would it be possible to just like wander into a manga club or something and start talking to them or what?

I haven't been, but I really doubt it. You would probably need to search what clubs are in what part of the cities of Japan before you go. It would probably be like going to New York City and trying to find the early childhood mother's club. And probably the same reaction to someone who isn't from the U.S. and can't speak English (assuming you don't speak Japanese.)

I don't think it's a good idea. You would probably be better off going to Tokyo and seeing the diverse culture there. ^^
