Quick question,
How difficult would it be to find a job in the medical field there?(Nursing in particular)

I've been accepted to a few colleges in the states, and I was planning on getting my Bachelor Science Nursing, and then working in Japan for a few years, and move on to medical school. But if it's difficult to find a job as a nurse then I might just have to postpone my dreams for about 12 years. =/

How fluent is your Japanese? I don't know much in the medical side of the world, I can ask my Cousin's wife for you... but I'd imagine that you will need to pass some test first

I'm actually just starting to learn the language(got the rosetta stone language learning software) and I was planning on minoring in japanese in college. Truth is the anime/videogames culture is what first drew me to Japan. But the more I learn about the actual culture and history the more i'm drawn to living there. And if you could ask your cousin's wife I would in your debt

Here's a short blurb about nursing in Japan :
Working in Japan - Japanese Nursing Association

I have a feeling that the exam will be written in Japanese...

There's a massive shortage of nurses in Japan. If you're qualified, and can speak and read Japanese, you should be able to get the necessary visa.

The nursing requirements in Japan and the US are different. You will need to have your nursing courses taken translated into Japanese, and there will surely be gaps that must be filled.

You are never going to get fluent enough using Rosetta Stone. You need to go to Japan or get into a Japanese class.

I ask everyone this same question: Why do you want to live in Japan? Have you been there to know whether you like it or not?
ろっぽんぎ? I've never heard of that. Maybe I'll check into it. ありがとうございます。

My GPA is a B, but that's mainly because one of my five semesters I did online, and it was a bad experience. All of my semesters where I've actually attended real classes have been solid.

Ultimately I know that God will provide a way, since I know He's certainly called me to Japan, and if one thing I know, what He's called me to do, He's enabled me to do. However, I still have to do my part, which is why I'm looking into what I can do myself, and try to find the best solution possible.

I actually have been looking for some churches in Japan, but it's such a broad subject, that I haven't zeroed in on specific ones just yet.

BTW, though a bit off topic, Japan is actually opening up more and more to Christianity. I think it's safe to say the percentage of Christian believers is above 1% by now. See this article.

How do I go about getting that? BTW, as I think I mentioned, if it be the Lord's will, once I go, I plan to live in Japan for the rest of my life.

What can I do about college in Japan? What about Temple University? I've heard good things about that, and I know it appeals to foreigners.

Lately I've actually been thinking about pursuing a "side" career in computer graphics. I'm good with computers and think I could do quite well with that (God willing it doesn't involve too many more math courses than I've already taken (I've taken all I need to unless my choice of career would require it (if I had to take more, next would likely be College Algebra, though I think I may have even tested out of that))). Is Japan interested in anything like that?

What I want is to spread the Gospel, and that's what I know God wants me to do as well (I'm not quite sure how yet, but I feel like maybe in missions work, as I know I want to talk to people and help them directly). A job is just an obligation to make a living, since I will not accept money in exchange for ministering to people. In following Matthew 10:8, freely I have received, freely I wish to give. However, this obviously means I need a job on the side so I can still put food on the table. If it means teaching English, fine by me. One thing I know, I'm going to Japan; God will get me there no matter what. But I have to do my best as well, and if I do He will certainly bless my efforts. ^_^
