Do you know anything about how hard it would be to get a job in Japan with that kind of education ?
Ofcourse i know that experience has a LOT to say, and knowing the Japanese language is a given.

Though,i dont think i will ever move and work in japan, but it's interesting to play with the thought.
I put a lot of thoughts before replying. Just say, talking to different people, it was suggested that the Telecom/IT field does do quite a bit of hiring in Japan, but my personal experieince wasn't positive. That said, I also gave up looking since 2006/07. Bottomline is, my background is also in Electrical Engineering with a Master in Info Sys Management, 10+ years of experieince in the software field, and my search returns no luck.........

The market changed drastically since, good luck with your hunt, I am sure something will come up...

They are facing problems, but thats already one of the reason why they allow foreigners set foot in their soil in the first place, so, the population age is not going to make foreigner more welcome, they are just as welcome as it currently is

Part of the aging issue has to do with people not getting married there, but if you go to the news section of this forum, there seems to be an incline of people getting married due to financial struggle, so maybe the global economic crisis MAY actually help with this age thing.. BUT do remember, there is going to be a huge age gap....

Life in a foreign country can be very interesting, but very hard. Having lived in a military family, I've moved around from place to place. It is really difficult to live in a foreign country [especially when you don't know the language]. So to me, getting a degree before I moved to Japan is a given.

[Then again, it may be different for adults. I haven't lived in a foreign country since I was 7]

Hmm... I pretty much figured that part out (DUH), but I'm not entirely sure what I want to do. I know I want to go to M.I.T. but I highly doubt that's going to happen because there are much smarter people out there. After that, I have no idea. I want to go to Japan, but I don't know how I'll get the money because I have other people to care for and pay for. Life's a bitch. Excuse my language.

i agree with this thread 100%, i want to live in japan, but its not just some random thing like oh i love anime so imma move to japan, no, i stopped thinking like that in like the 5th grade...times are hard, its hard enough for an American to get a job in America, so you cant be half assed in moving to japan, you have to know. the main reason im on this site is to ask questions so that after i graduate from college (aviation blueprint reading and mechanic) i can have a job in the states first hone my craft and get better at speaking and reading Japanese myself and then make my decision. Plus to live in Japan, dont you have to have a business visa? you cant just go to japan and stay.

You can go for 90 days on a tourist visa, but for longer term need a special visa...working holiday visa, work visa, student visa, spousal visa, etc.
