So besides japanese and require a 4-year-degree, what are the best things to learn in college in order to live a successful and happy life in japan?

Commerce and/or engineering I guess, but you shouldn't make your education/career decision base on reasons like that... at the end of the day, you need to enjoy what you do. If you go to college solely for the purpose of being accepted, but you totally hate the job, you will not enjoy your stay in Japan.

Find something that you like to do, be successful at it.. and if its not something that is feasible for Japan, do it good enough that you can afford yearly vacation there..

The best way to live a successful and happy life is to do something which YOU want to do regardless of the country you're in.

Good point. Don't choose a major based on the realistically small chance it may lead to a year or three in Japan, but base one on what you are interested in. After you come back from Japan at 25 or 26 you still are going to have nearly 50 years of work life ahead of you.

i just am not too sure with the track i'm going for will be lucrative enough to find a job in japan that will earn me enough money to live in japan and have a decent life + have a family over there though =/

I put it the wrong way. I meant I will be learning Japanese before I graduate from High school, but will still be graduating from my Highschool.

with the way i got things planed out latly im hoping to take a year as echange student at universaty over there in a few years once i get that far any one got some feed back on that area?

Can you be more specific? What kind of information are you looking for? There are plenty of exchange students in Japan, so I am sure everything is FINE?

well i guess more if someone ahve tryed it and wanted to share there experiance with how it was or like how easy/hard it is. and like specifik info about how the rules for it work and stuff
