Those tiny bar owners are so friendly and patient!
I remember one time I just spent all night (literally, I left the bar at 7:00 AM when he realized he should be closed) just talking with one back and forth in basic English and Japanese. Didn't spend much that night either. I think at the high point of that night there was 5 people. Business picked up for him nicely the following year however. Its still a nice place, and I'll be sure to visit it again if/when the opportunity arises. |

Yea, but it depends on how you define drop dead gorgeous...
In Japan, there is a perception among people that, foreign men have bad taste in Japanese women. I noticed this as well and I personally think that's the reason why Japanese men are not upset about foreigners taking our women. |

You can call it "bad taste" if you want, but it's just a matter of preference and culture. I knew Japanese guys that dated girls I found incredibly unattractive, so I guess it works both ways. If we all had the same tastes, there would be a lot of lonely people aout there. |

I saw Japanese women/men hook up with some awful gaikokujin during my stay. |
