So far this is the prices I am working with, this is all prices for TWO years:

Yamasa Language School: £7 896
Yamasa Apartments: £3 656
Everyday cheap food: £2 875

Sum: £14427
+ Extra money to do something els, like resturant or bar.

And this is very much possible to get after one year of work in Norway.
So I think this path can succes well.
I really don´t know how expensive is japanese live but with this amount of money I doesn´t seems to be more expensive than living in many european cities like London, Berlin or Madrid....

For me the most difficult thing is to obtain the working Visa without any japanese skill....thats my problem I have experience and a Masters Degree but no japanese...so continue looking for a good opportunity.

When I though of the food money I made it really cheap, + with around the same price compared to norway,(think norway is more expensive). And 60,000yen is to much for food
if I stay there in two years. I can easy live on 30,000 yen I guess(food). If not even lower.
The room is on the school, so it will be cheaper then private non-school rents I guess. Since £150 week is cheap.(compared to norway)
The school, hmm ye two years. and that is the exact price for the school fee only. (2years).
I dont need a work visa to study in japan. I will need a student visa.
And have been reseaching that. If I did NOT miss something very important.
I really only need to have enough money for the school/room/food, and apply for the school to get the student visa.
-
Later, yes I would also need a work visa if I want to work in japan.
But that comes later, and I hope to get some contacts while living in japan.
And hopefully get a company to suport my work visa.

I think if you want to learn japanese I think you sould save some money as I do, and go down for two years and learn japanese.

(Im at work = I got fast and bad english, very any grammar mistakes)

Im at work myself, so I try to write as fast as possible while I have break :P
So don't worry :P
Anyway, if you want to work in japan, I think you will need to know japanese.
And then study two years in japan would be a great experience I think.
I dont think you ever will be to old to study.
And if I guess right you cant be sooo old, since you want to move to japan.
So I guess you have some saved money that you can use

You can work with a student visa. The "official" limit is 20 hours per week, but I about 1/3 more than my "official" hours each week, so don't think of the work limit as something being set in stone. You should be able to make enough money to pay for your food and transportation, and possibly more, depending on what work you do.

I´m too old to study a new degree I have a masters degree in physics and I want to work in japan not only to live in japan I want to develope my professional career in Japan because this is one of the top countries in technology so It would be a good chance for me in the future to have an experience in Japan.

My real problem is I don´t have too much time to study japanese so I only have english skills, but I will continue trying to get a job there.

I have a question to ppl that live in japan.
How much does dailylife items like food cost??
Norway is expensive, and when I studied in another city, alone I used 6400 JPY pr.week (food only), ofc then I was carefull not to buy expensive food.
And tryed to live cheap. But is this possible in japan?(not tokyo)
The 6400 JPY did not include things like a trip, buy books, resturant, etc etc.
ONLY dailylife food!

Thanks for any answers.
