Hmm not sure if this is what you mean but; do you mean the number plate being light up with dipped or main beam lights on? And that too on a y reg (2000) car? If so then I think your a little potty. No car going has the front plate light up (unless someone does it themself), the rear plate is light up on every car (unless your bulb is dead lol). Hope this helps if not hopefully a car boff will come bye.

You could get a do-it-yourself illuminated bracket for the plate, but why bother? I'd rather it be more difficult for my plate to be seen by those speed detection cameras. Of course, Kei cars aren't the fastest things on 4 wheels, extreme speeds are only possible if you drop one off a cliff.
I'm looking out my window at the school parking lot, there are 4 Kei cars parked there. Ugly little buggers. |

No, sorry... I did not explain better.
The palte is plastic, each letter, a clear/green plastic, i.e. "500-1234" each letter or number is lit up. Like a neon sign, the letters light up, not the whole plate. Click th link and see that each GREEN number or letter lights up from inside the plate. The plate itself has little light bulbs iside it, the lisence plate is about 3/4 inch thik and inside are two white bulbs, but when they turn on, the plate looks bright green. Can you do this on the yellow plate, on a K-car? http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:...ateDwg.svg.png K-car,... http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:...7232%26seq%3D1 it is okay, I'll ask ina e-mail to one of my friends, he may find out. Im no sure if that is possible, but just to let you know, i have only seen this on big cars (eg no yellow sign). I guess its not so cheap either, so people who have money buy a big car and add the light up plates just because they have the money. Though i think it would be fun to see one of the small cars with light up plates
