I love how he's still trying to kick dirt in our eyes.

I already helped dreamsandhopes on a one-on-one level (by PM), and pointed him in a good starting direction to help him seek out his dream. If anyone else has anything helpful to say, PM him and send him links and info, particularly if you know about getting Visas and such in Japan.

i dont live in japan yet sorry but i just have to say is that i totally have the same story as you. japan is a place where i want to start a new life. i know its going to be tough living is a new place with no one i know. i told my family this and they think im wasting my time but i know im not. if this is something i want to do then im not wasting my time. i have a close friend who really is interested in doing the same thing as you guys are doing. so what we're doing is trying our best in school and hopefully apply for a scholarship for a college in japan. haha i talk to much but its so cool to meet people with the same vision as you. haha it just made me happy i guess

How's your Japanese? Because it's very hard to really feel like you belong in a place where you don't speak, read, or write the language very well (or at all). I loved living in Japan, and at first my pitiful Japanese ability didn't really bother me. I was able to get by, figure things out, even travel. And people were very helpful. But over time it became more and more of an annoyance. Being functionally illiterate and unintelligible is no fun, in the long run.
