Well around me, lowest gas price I found is $1.34 a gallon here in the Houston area. I would assume that even though its this cheap, public transport would be cheaper if there was an actual public transportation system here and not buses showing up at random times at random places everyday.

Where I live, gas costs $1.38 a gallon and bus rides cost $1.00 and I take the bus to and from school (can't afford a car)

yea I don't drive...taking public transport is always cheaper for me...& healthier for me. i walk to the train station, but once I get to my stop I just get on the bus...i have a horrible attention span when im behind the wheel so its best that i use public transport...
