Do something crazy. Call your band "Gaijin Yakuza" and dress like those guys at the train stations with the funky suits and pointy leather shoes. Call yourselves "Sumo San" and wear Sumo hairdos and Mawashi (those diaper looking things). Trust me, weird Gaijin get noticed and put on TV. You have to have some talent though.
