Love hotels seem a little inpersonal, lol
Love hotels exist because most young people don't live alone. I am not sure how "personal" you want your hotel to be, but they serve a purpose and are surely unique.

They say that the sex industry in Japan is around 2.5 trillion yen a year. That's around double the amount of Canada's entire defense budget!

It's no surprise though. I mean, when you get escort services spamming your cell phone, you know that it's a huge industry.

Paying for sex is illegal. However, there are loopholes that are often used, like calling it a "massage".

I'll send you a PM.

There are some young users here so I don't want to take this thread into the wrong direction.

It's more mature and socially acceptabe than in America. Kids learn sex education and safe-sex methods early on. I mean, look a this

But with all of that aside, condoms are usual practice within married couples. Birth control isn't so. It was legalized in 1999 and still get a lot of negative press from doctors. One theory is that the doctors want to keep the abortion business strong so they discourage the pill. Japan has a 35% rate of abortion.

They have those shops in the US, as well. I am not sure what 35% abortion rate means. Do you mean 35% of women have had abortions, or that 35% of babies are aborted. I can't believe either of those numbers are true, but if they were, that throws the whole sex education and safe-sex statement out the window. And I have never heard of married couples using condoms, either.

Everyone raves about Amsterdam! They should all go to Japan from the looks of it. I thought that real porn was illegal in Japan @ some point...and that only Hentia was legal. Is that true?
