ムコダイン and アスベリン Both prescription. I`d place my bets on ムコダイン being the culprit, as that stuff will sap your energy and will to do anything. And is also supposed to be extremely sensitive to alcohol. To answer the original question though, so I don`t go too far off topic - I usually take ルル if I bother with cold medicine at all. It`s more of a token effort, as I have no clue if it`s actually working... And I only take it when I feel like crap but didn`t develop a fever. If I have a fever, I bundle up and let it take care of things. My fevers spike pretty severely, and most colds don`t make it past 40. The most effective medication though - *cough cough* suppositories... |

My local koban once dropped by with this stuff that had a blue and white label. It seemed to work just fine.
I am still trying to figure out how the popo knew I was sick. O_O *knock knock* Me: Hello? PO: Hello, may I see your ARC? Me: Sure here. PO: Very good, thank you. *holds up bag* For you. Medicine. Me: 0_0! Uhm... Thank you very much. |

I didn`t say it was my method of choice. Just that it has to be the most effective.
I prefer to let my own fever take care of the whole issue... But it`s pretty normal in Japan - they sell pretty much every medication in suppository form because it`s the most effective way of getting it into the bloodstream short of an IV. |
