Ok, thats an amazing package, but jobs with that kind of compensation package are also available in North America.

But I do see your point, the long hours really was a killer. My cousin, on an average get about 35 hours a week.. and 20 of those are over the weekend only.

Don't get me wrong, my intention isn't to tell people "Don't Go". I mean I love Japan, and I really miss Japan (before others start drilling me on this, I live there and went to school there when I was a kid). But at the same time, I want the average teenager on the board to understand that it is not what it seemed in the animate and manga, so before they jump up and down asking about how to get there, first think about WHY you want to go there

Now, for sure for a vacation is a totally different story... however, this year is probably my last trip there until probably a few years later, may even be until 2016 Tokyo olympics

I think the best way (at least for me) is to have the experience, then go back and visit friends as often as you can. I try and go back every year, but this year I probably won't have the time....

Not to mention trying to rent any real estate in Japan is next to impossible if you are non-Japanese and haven't got guarantors.

Well I was sent to Japan for work for a week once with all the perks, Grand Hyatt Tokyo in Roppongi Hills accommodation, slack hours, per diem allowance, it felt like heaven but clearly this isn't going to last. Looking at how miserable the people I had to worth with, it was enough for me.

Japanese culture still has a lot to offer but living in Japan is clearly a different ball game.

JAPANESE WOMEN !!!! Any men in is right mind doesnt need any more reasons then that to want to spend the rest of is days there.

yes yes im in love with Japanese women ! i surely wasnt ready to witness so much cuties when i was there. Someone should have told me ! I cant believe everyone just let me go without giving me a warning of some kind.

I think it should actually be written in each and every guidebook. Beware: in each standards and bigger sized cities the ratio and concentration of hot women is so high that it could result in severe brain damage. Instantly. Do not engage women unless totally in control or you might fall in love. Also make sure to wear sunglasses or your eyes may burn.

How do you plan to communicate with them? To reach that stage, you have to sort your own life first in Japan and it's not that simple.

Besides, yes people who put a lot of effort into their looks are concentrated around certain parts of Tokyo. I find once you get away from Tokyo, it's not nearly as outrageous.

You dont need words with soulmate and beautiful creatures such as japanese godess. And you can always be creative.

i agree with the look think. Young people in Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo and etc put a lot of time and money on their looks. But this doesnt mean that those elsewhere arent beautiful. I didnt mean 3000$ dollars clothes and 500$ sunglasses beautiful. I meant real natural beauties. Like in Akita. God that place is crazy. I met lots of beautiful ladies in country side place as well.

The all thing was a semi-joke of course but i do think that japan is special when it comes to beautiful women. I mean...have you seen a lot of fat-ugly ones ? i sure didnt

It's true that the Japanese girls in Japan are good at presenting themselves with their makeup and clothing but choosing that as a purpose to abandon your country is going a little too far.

Besides, if you thought that you dated high maintenance girls in N.America, you haven't seen anything until you've dated one of those hot looking girls in Japan. Trust me on that!

Fat? well that's really only in the US thanks to the nutritious diet. I think Japan is special when it comes to over the top makeup. Spicytuna, you are spot on.

Except maybe Akita, I don't think Japan is genetically predisposed as a 美人工場.

You think Japanese women are interesting? I suppose they are, at least superficially, but things are not always as they seem. I've heard any number of rants from westerners who have married Japanese women, and then complain that they only have sex once a month (twice, if they are lucky), and how their wives push them to work hard because if their husbands doesn't work hard enough, they can't be your typical stay-at-home housewives which all Japanese women dream to be.

You'll give your Japanese wife your entire paycheck, and she'll give you an "allowance" which you will use for things like lunch at work, or drinks from vending machines for you to enjoy on your commutes. Her allowance will be quite larger of course, someone has to keep the shops in Ginza and Omotesando Hills in business.

Many Japanese men dream of marrying western women, do you wonder why?
