Does anyone live in Oyama? -

I'm an English teacher and I'm moving from Wakoshi in Saitama to Oyama in Tochigi. I don't know anyone there and have about 10 words of Japanese. There will be other English teachers working at my school, but they'll be living in Utsonomiya.
Anyway does anyone have any advice or even better does anyone live near the area?
