Living in Akita

hi,

i've been living in Akita City for over 7 years now. my wife is from here and we now have two young children. i'm looking to meet some people to have a bit of fun with. my Japanese isn't very good so i'm limited to English speaking friends. i know lots of people to say hello to but haven't really made any friends here. i find the few foreigners here not very friendly. as my wife got pregnant when we first came here, i've never been drinking in Kawa Butta (bar area) and i'd like to check that out sometime. we don't have babysitters so i can't go with my wife. i also like going out to lunch, Enka and Jazz and my hobbies are flying and travelling, although it will be a long time before i can go travelling, gonna have to wait until my kids are grow up and i've made some money

I know this is an old thread... but..
I am moving from Niigata city in June to Akita and will know ZERO people there..would be good to meet a few locals.
If anyone fancies a beer please reply on this thread!

Been in Niigata for nearly 2 years and moving to Akita for a while. Didn't think I could get more rural than Niigata but clearlt it can lol
Anyone on here from Akita want to say hello?

I just moved to Akita. I'm staying for a year. It would be great to talk to someone who knows the area.
