I have an international driving licence issued form Egypt for private cars(B) can I drive scooter 50cc in japan with my licence?

my lecturer told me that international license can only be used for one year only.. and after that you MUST change/have a Japanese driving license.. it's the law..

does anybody here know about this?

That is also correct. Based on the issue date on the permit itself. So try to get the date as closely to the first day you will actually be driving in Japan.
