Forgot to pick up alien registration certificate?

Hey guys,

Due to a hand injury, I totally forgot to pick my alien registration certificate in the ime period specified by the ward office.

It says I will be subject to penalty. Any idea what that might be?

In a bind. Any help would put my mind at ease, thanks.

try to explain the situation. If they don't buy it I guess you are boned.

A couple years back someone I know wasn't able to pick theirs up because they were in the hospital. If I recall correctly, they charged her to make another card as they only keep them for so long before shredding them.
I don't believe that there was any significant penalty.

Yeah, I'm sure I remember them telling me if I couldn't pick it up there'd be a few hundred (or was it thousand?) yen penalty. Nothing major.
