Share houses in Tokyo -

I'm planning a trip to Tokyo and I'm planning to stay for about 1 month in maybe April 2012. Does any of you guys have any experience or advice regarding finding good places to stay during such a period? What would you recommend?

I've tried Sakura House and Villa Saranda.
I like Villa Saranda better, although it is a sharehouse it prefers long term tenants but the manager is pretty easy to talk to. What I liked about Sakura House is the free events for foreigners. I got 2 free tickets from them to an expensive Koto Performance , so it was a nice experience. There are lots of sharehouses in Tokyo, but these two are the ones that I've stayed with. |

Sakura House -

I used to stay in various Sakura House for almost 4 years. I never had any problems. I met loads of nice people and the ones who stayed for longer periods became like a second family to me. I stayed at 4 different locations some better than others, but all of them were really nice. I especially liked the tatami rooms they provide.
If you are coming to Japan for the first time and don't speak Japanese, Sakura House is probably the best choice you've got. All of their staff members speak English, so no problem there. |

There is quite a relatively big number of good share houses in Tokyo, better than living in an apartment. You can check out some of them in the Internet. I know of a good one and as a gaijin myself, I would recommend this company. Check out my blogs about it here.
