QUESTIONS!: English Universities in Tokyo... -
11-18-2011, 10:22 AM
Hi there, I'm an 18-year-old student in Singapore doing my 'A'-levels.
I kinda messed up my 'A's and I don't expect my results to be really good, if I can even pass. I do plan to take my SATs and do ten billion times better for those though. I'm currently interested in two main English Unis in Tokyo: ICU and Temple U. I've read varying opinions about these unis on many different forums and question sites, as well as heard from some of my Japanese friends, so I'm kinda confused. Most people say that as long as you can pay the fees for these two unis, you are pretty much guaranteed admission unless you've basically failed every exam for your whole life. On the other hand, there are some saying that ICU is one of the top ranked Private Us in Japan and has one of the hardest entry criterion. The application fees are a few hundred dollars so I don't wanna apply if I know the chances of my getting in are low, so I'd like to know which of the above is true. If it's just about the money and not about the results, or if it's about the academic qualifications. Thank you for your kind attention!! |
