Renewing Visa - how much do i need to prove im earning?

Hiya,

I recently went down to part-time at work. Unfortunately I have to renew my visa in the next few months. I heard that you have to prove you're earning a certain amount in order for you to extend your stay in Japan (my company won't sponsor my visa). Does anyone know the actual amount you need to earn in order to meet their requirements from being granted a new visa?
