There is a hedgefund called Lonestar Lone Star Funds There are buying up all the bay areas of Tokyo. Soon the gambling/casino laws will pass and the plan is to turn all Tokyo bay into casinos. This is to compete with Korea and China. FYI |

As for the link between math and business; the link is basically being logical and knowing how to get to whatever goal it is that you need to reach. Everything you need to know about businesses and business, you can learn in the training they give you for most jobs (believe me, i've studied business studies and i got 100% in exams just because of working in a games shop and taking interest in things that didn't involve just selling games, ie, i asked to be the guy to look through CV's and i was in charge of giving interviews... (in business studies, they spend about 2 months teaching you about this where as you can learn it in less than one week)) Anyway, the point is, you're more than likely never to use anything you learnt in school once you get a job... so companies usualy go for people that done hard subjects... As for unemployment, yeah you'll prob have a hard time finding a job after finishing uni if 1. you just have an average grade, 2. if you come from an average uni and 3. if you do a subject that isn't that challenging |

Though, on the other hand, Japanese are not "social gamblers" in that sitting at a table with a bunch of strangers to play black-jack probably won't sit well. Poker as well. Even worse, really. Mah-jong players tend to play with friends, or at least people they know. Hardcore players play alone, but are looked upon with suspicion when entering a group of three. Slots would work, but I don't see Japanese picking up on, say Roulette or Baccaratt (sp) like the HK and Chinese do, as there is less control. Japanese like games they think they can manipulate and win, like Pachinko, Pachi-Suro (on second thought, slots WON'T work in Japan...you can't stop the reels when you want). Horse-racing in Japan is different than in America...you have oddsmakers selling cheatsheets all over. Curious to see what happens. I think Japanese like casinos in the movies, but for the most part will be intimidated. |

Hey Tokyo , right now I'm studying japanese and I'm also majoring in International Business. I definatly want to move to Japan to be fluent because obviously staying in America is not the best situation for me if I want to be more serious with japanese. My question is Is it really that hard to find a career in Japan esp. if you're a foriegner moving to Japan?! * I also plan on getting my MBA too. I also want to know how does the recruitment process work if you want to get recruited from Japan?! Thanks
