I'd recomend learning the two alphabets too, if you get a chance or feel able. In English its very hard to figure out how some of the Japanese is said, but in the Japanese alphabets the words are written as you say them, so it's easier to figure out how to pronounce each word correctly. |

Yeah, try to learn hiragana and katakana is the best way to start. Of course, if you want to learn some words in japanese I recomend to you watch some Anime with audio in japanese and subtitles of your choice (probably english).
