He's not a raccoon, he's actually a tanuki. You see fat little tanuki statues all over in Japan, many times with alcohol. As for Master Li, have you read the books by Barry Hughart? Great books! |

Raccoon Dog - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia They are very cute little guys, and as mischievous as real raccoons or foxes. The 1st Master Li book is called Bridge of Birds. It takes place in ancient China, with a touch of fantasy thrown in. Master Li is incredibly intelligent and perceptive, and together with his very strong but not very bright servant Number 10 Ox, they solve mysteries, like a Chinese Sherlock Holmes and Watson duo. |

wow; I didn't think they were that large. Just read up on the second article on wikipedia, and they truly do look like a mix between a raccoon and a dog O_o lol, I can still see them getting into garbage cans, and being the cause of all sorts of problems XD
I wrote down the title of the book and the author; hopefully the library has the books you're talking about ~_^ *heads off to check Cline Library* Amazing sig made by claimee, NeoVisualizm <3 Recent claim: Kiri (heidi.)
