I've been wanting to go to the Normandy American Cemetery for ages x.O But... no one wants to accompany me I have been to many cementeries that honor American soldiers that fought in the WWII (in France, mainly) but this one doesn't compare, here are a couple of pictures:
See the gravestones in the background? There're over 9.000. So beautiful. What an honor to be buried here. Ps- I like to visit cemeteries, I never thought of it as lack of respect towards the family of the deceaseds since I don't go there to do anything disrespectful. Besides, graves can be a work of art in themselves; when you take a picture of one you're not being rude to whoever is buried underneath, but responding with admiration to the artist’s talent. everything is relative and contradictory ~

Uuuhuuh... I guess I'll have to let my own experience live to tell its tale then *gulps* ^_^;
MaymeRachael: I'm sorry I didn't comment before on those pictures, I think these were taken with poise and professionalism. Maybe deep down inside, I can imagine why you wanna capture the stillness of a graveyard atmosphere. Thinking about it somemore, graveyards ARE supposed to be still, lol Maybe that's why the pictures come as close to the real thing as possible, as compared to trying to accentuate the flight of a bird or swaying of the trees, etc. Just to add, no one has said anything impolite about your pictures Mayme; I'll punish them if they do xD So for goodness sake, stop assuming people being rude already Edited: You took them off? You can put them back on, lol! >.< There's no such thing as happy endings, for when you find true love, happiness is everlasting.

Awww...I never got to see your pics. TT^TT If you're not going to put them back up, would you mind pming me with them. I wanna see them. I wouldn't worry about it. People like different things. I take photographs at old graveyards, too. I think they're interesting.
