Really? When we went to visit my grandmother's grave site it was really hard to get to her stone the graves were really packed. Every that I stepped on someone's stone I kept saying I'm sorry. The next time I go I'll take pics so you can see what I'm talking about.

Oh, very nice. ^_^ Thanks for putting them back up. Which graveyard were you at? If you don't mind me asking. It looks very old. Pretty, though. I love all the greenery.

Just watch Ghost Hunters on SciFi or see if you could join them. They'll train you they've just added 2 more ppl to their team. But you have to be 21 & older I think???
I think looking & the pics are cool but I don't think I would ever go into 1 just to take pics!!! Kind of creeps me out. Well when I'm not sober I'd prolly do it. You should take some at night with a full moon just to get that cool professional photography look.
This ^ is all I said, didn't think it offended you. I also said that what you do with taking da pics were cool never said any thing negative, just that you should thank them for the lovely pics that you were able to take 'cause of them. (like a bow or something )
You can't please every1 & besides its your art!! Why do ppl get so dramatic over these things???!!?

And I still think taking one at night with the moon out would be beautiful

See the gravestones in the background? There're over 9.000.

So beautiful. What an honor to be buried here.

Ps- I like to visit cemeteries, I never thought of it as lack of respect towards the family of the deceaseds since I don't go there to do anything disrespectful. Besides, graves can be a work of art in themselves; when you take a picture of one you're not being rude to whoever is buried underneath, but responding with admiration to the artist’s talent.
XD my future home Ooooo o3o hopefully not, I wish I could go onto cemetarys.

Ive never seen those kinds of headstones before the big ones that stand up.

But the others...they were at a old Civil Church...

Future home? Did you fight in World War II...? Something tells me you didn't and if you had, there still wouldn't be a place for you cause that is for those who died back in the day, so ha!

And the big headstones are just commemorative stuff, it's the little white ones that have a dead corpse lying underneath, and the name of every American soldier who died in there is written on the gravestone, but now I'm thinking how hard it must have been for them to recognize the bodies so the name it says and the person buried probably don't always match.

This is Lieutenant General McNair's gravestone.

A view from above, that beach must be Omaha Beach, where the invasion started.

Glad to see you put the pics back up. I missed them the first time. Very nice images. From a technical standpoint id give them some more contrast.

I have had a facination with old gravyards myself. Just something about the old ones. To see when an individual lived and died, and wondering what thier life was like.

Back in college one of my photo assigments was to create a small photo book. I had read an article on an cemetary used by some of the first Spanish immigrants back in the 1840's. Its now a California State Historical landmark. Some of the graves are only marked with a homemade cross, and some headstones were crudley carved. Unfortunatly I dont have a scanner or I would post a few. I may have to make another trip out there.

As far as people not liking the images, well not everyone is going to like everything. You sometimes have to be a little thick skinned. Again back in college I had a teacher who was very straight forward. If he didnt like your work he told you. On a few occasions he said my photos for a particular assigment were crap. He even once made someone cry. I had the utmost respect for him. He was pushing me and eventually I began to create my own style, which was his intentions. Over time he actually hired me as an assistant on some of his shoots.

Even if you just do this for fun as a hobby. Dont let others dictate your creativity.

Heres a shot I did awhile back. It was taken with infrared film. which is why the trees and grass look white. Gives it an erie effect.
