Hey guys im new to this forum. So I decided to show you guys some of my most recent artwork. please comment.



Hope you guys like it. I plan on becoming a manga artist someday. Im studying Japanese also.

your understanding of anatomy is impressive; i'm guessing from the images that you practice through copying?

[@ Gwen]If by copying you mean looking at a picture or taking a picture of someone and sketching based off of it then yea. I deffinently don't trace. What I do (and so does every other artist alive) is the use of resources. when you have the actual object or a picture of the object in front of you then you get more details and it makes your picture look a whole lot better. Thanx for the comment by the way

yea, thats what i meant

have you tried any real-life life drawing; it really is a good challenge

if you can; get anyone to pose for you, try using objects; fruit is a classic way to start; other objects are also good to use (ie clothes, figurines, bottles / cups) It gives you a better idea of your real hand-eye co-ordination; and how to draw depth of field

Japanese is bad but your artwork is actually good! I'm no critic, it needs a little smoothing out overall but it's really impressive

Japanese is bad. Hehe. Im working on it. I got the lovely Rosetta Stone program . Thanx for the comments guys, Im entering an art show at Adelphi guys. So hopefully my art piece will be good. Im not too sure on what I want to do yet. Im only in the 10th grade and im entering an art show at Adelphi. Im so excited.
