Photography is a wonderful artform. One thing to keep in mind about photography is that you don't need a good camera to take good pictures. If you can get your hands on any camera, you can start working on framing and angles.
that is very true. I've been in photography classes...and it's amusing when the kid that has the el cheap-o camera beats the pants off the guy that bought the most expensive camera in the class.

I'll give you some more input; "constructive criticism" -
the thing that I didn't like about the gate was that it was so centered. my personal take on it, I would have taken the picture lower - the subject would have been moreso the lines in the steps, and the archway would have been at the top third of the pic. I've noticed that in a lot of your pictures, if there's a line going across, it goes across the middle of the pic. the rule of thirds counts with lines going across the picture too. I think it would help out your pictures some, personally. in this one...the lines on the sides are sort of across the lower third...but that left the focal point in the direct center. I dunno...I would've tried a different approach to get the gate out of the direct middle.
it's still a beautiful subject though, and a gorgeous picture

the bridge, the tomb, and the land of the rising sun were my three favorites - especially the tomb. the land of the rising sun defied the rule of thirds again...sometimes it's ok to break it, I don't think this was one of those instances. the bridge was one that was ok to break it - that one worked well.

IMHO.

...heh, and that buddha pic is just cool. I love it when color is used like that.

really, you have beautiful subjects here. you can't really go wrong

sorry, I'm not trying to steal your thunder here. just constructive criticism.

thnx boboloko for the sig!

Constructive critisizm is always good, especially when it is done well like you did!

Thank's for the input... I do keep on forgetting the rule of thirds... gah!

But you know... I never did notice that line across the middle of the picture... but now that you mention it, I can really see it... I'll have to keep my eyes out for that in the future.

Thanks!
