I love these names:
Takara (I want to have a girl and name her this) Yukari (same as above) Emi (I have a Japanese friend with this name and it's adorable) Riku (cute guy name) Teruki (another cute guy name) ^.^ I love names, but especially Japanese names because they can have special meanings depending on the kanji used. |

Japanese names are quite intersting and meaningfull -

Most of there names mean something in their native langue. Koreans, Chinese and Native Americans have similar practices.
For example Boys Taro=first born Jiro=second born Akemi Beauty of dawn Akihiko=Bright Ryuu=Dragon Yuuda=Hero + great Girls. Usagi=rabbit Mizuki= tree of water (literally, water tree) MEGUMI= blessing Shizu=Quiet Wakaba=young leaf For more interesting articles about Japanese names. Boys: Shin (most often Shinya, etc.) Nobu Kaoru (which can be a boy or girl's name, I saw) Takeshi Yuu Girls: Fuyuko Ayumi Sayuri (my old manager's name, not Memoirs of a Geisha character ) Emi Tsubasa (one of my students was named this: means "wings") |
