it is amazing how people can connect with such a physical barrier, i for one, don't believe in the internet love, but there are couples outhere who can really pull it off..... so kudo to them

A relative of mine recently mentioned that she was dating a new guy she met online through an online dating service. It got me thinking about the pros and cons of Internet dating. On one hand, you get a much cleaner, much neater, and much faster sifting process in which to find someone that'd be interesting to date, and you wouldn't have to worry about these people being unwilling since most of these sites only match you up to compatable information that you submit to the system. Coupled with the fact that these people are obviously willing to go on dates since they've signed up to use such a service in the first place makes it a fairly convient system to use.

On the other hand, a good deal of social interaction is lost due to Internet dating. Repore (sweet cowboy Jesus that's a horrible typo) built with the other person before the question of even going on a date is asked is lost. Alongside that, it's hard to trust the information relayed via some of these sites due to integrity issues of the people filling out the forms.

I'm just curious and I'd thought I'd ask the good-minded, passionate, flame-throwing people on JF.

Internet Dating is become increasingly fashionable now. People don't feel like going out, having a good time and getting to know someone naturally.

They'd rather scroll up a log and get on a quick shag. Also, them Adulfinder adverts are all over the bloody place.

Yeah, all in all Internet Dating has become a norm. What next Holographic girlfriends?

Yes I have. My date is a nice girl and we've been talking for 5 hours a day on the internet. She's good on conversation before we met. My first reaction was "Wow, she's hot" and she stares at me and said my handle name and there it goes.

i consider myself way desprate. i always wanted to find the right guy online, but i'm worried that i'd fall in love then meet the guy and not be attracted to him. that makes me see us as just good friends, but that disappoints us both. thats why i never really tried it. parinoid?
