There's a difference between adult age gaps and young age gaps though.

My parents met each other at a banquet while working for the same company. My father is 10 years older than my mother.

This may happen to me one day. I may find a cute 21 year old woman working at the same school I'm teaching at, whilst I'm 31.

This same theory does not mean that now, at the age of 21, I'm going to find a good amount of common ground with an 11 year old.

Original poster, you're dating a baby, sorry. Do you have any idea how many times I've heard the validation, "But she's mature for a (11-16) year old." Just because they're mature for their age doesn't mean they're mature for you big guy.
