Abusive people and trolls get banned. Blocking someone yourself shows you're really pretty much only interested in listening to your own words. The eternal Saint is calling, through the ages she has told. The ages have not listened; the will of faith has grown old…
For forever she will wander, for forever she withholds; the Demon King is on his way, you’d best not be learned untold… |

o_O There's nothing anyone HAS to do. A forum is supposed to be a hobby. It's supposed to be fun. The way you're describing it, it sounds almost as if it's a responsibility to read your posts. It's not. No one has to if they don't want to.

The two of you clearly don't like a challenge. The eternal Saint is calling, through the ages she has told. The ages have not listened; the will of faith has grown old…

You crossed the line of learning by making that statement. You started the path to another argument - another argument that I'm definitely not in the mood for. So, Tenchu, because I don't have the responsibility to respond to you, forgive me for not responding to you from here on out. |

I didn't degrade you in saying you don't like a challenge, unless a challenge for you is pressing a ignore button. You're too easily offended; overly sensative. Learning is not always about absorbing plain facts. Theorising and viewing, social interaction, these things help you progress as a character. In the end, the best thing about discussing seemingly useless things online for me is to become preresolved. So that when difficult times come, I am not unsure of myself, and can make decisions quickly; I know where I stand. I'm very thankful for some of the more challenging members of this forum; Shaelyn, MMM, Ronin4Hire, Ivionky, Noodle. Honestly, I'm not excessivly fond of any of them. MMM and Shaelyn are\were hard people to dislike, but they certainly challenged my views with a lethal passion. If you remove people like this from your life, in this case, with the click of a single button, it doesn't really show much for your character, I think. Of course, there is also the fact that I never really said anything too dramatic, anyway. It was a plain view; why has this person made a thread about liking Asian guys and fighting with her father? What, is she\he just 12? The eternal Saint is calling, through the ages she has told. The ages have not listened; the will of faith has grown old…

Learning is more gained from discussions, theories, arguments, musings and everything of that sort. There are more opinions and theories in this world, than facts. And if we only considered facts as knowledge, then our intelligence would be handicapped. What I find most disturbing, is how people don't understand this. This is the reason I don't find people who complete high school, secondary, college/Uni as intelligent. All they're doing is regurgitating what they read. They can memorise, and that's it. Until they can improve and use that information to make their own theories and own studies, they will stay as academically blessed. They won't ever be intelligent if they stick to what they learn in college/uni. Edit: It ofcourse, depends on the course/subject aswell. |
