I really don't understand this. I like my men to be masculine men. I like long hair and short hair on guys, but not makeup. It can be cute from far away. but I would not actually date a guy if he is effeminate. In my opinion, I think girls have kind of messed things up for themselves. Now boys don't know what to be and they are taking on more passive roles. At least here in Japan where I am living. I think girls like girly boys because they feel like they have some kind of power over the guy if they portray themselves as the "weaker" sex...

Oh thank you Buddha, we have normal girls in Japan. I though all of them run after skinny metro-kids equipped with narrow steel hanger-like shoulders, who run around carrying bags that were clearly designed for women, or check their hair in the window reflection of the JR door.

Until I was about 14,I never thought "I am a boy",I just viewed myself as an individual. I never once or at least rarely thought about my gender. The biggest problem society has,and I thought this was a West-only problem,is that men and women are still seperate. The opposite sex has maybe different interests,different hair,different body but that's all.
