and for a guy it is nice to know that a girl feels safe, protected with him. no one says you can't have your ideas and dreams and be independent. for us it is a great feeling when we walk with you through a dark street and we know you feel safe by our side and in a way depend on our "protection". |

To be honest, WHY do girls relate to her? I can't answer that myself, I'm sorry. "I'm sorry, but i must have given you the impression that I actually care about your opinions"

I'm not sure if I'm over-generalising or not, but the women who seem to like "Twilight" appear to be very young, as in their teens to their early twenties. I mean I have yet to meet anyone late twenties or thirties or older who enjoys the series and/or can relate to Bella. I think it's more of an age issue than a gender issue. Most youngsters like escapism and romance, they tend to be rather unhappy (damn those hormones) and this kind of stuff appeals to them, and hell, vampires seem to be the latest 'fashion' too. I think girls enjoy Bella and love that type of romance because it is romance. It's a never-ending, undying love that conquers all and knows no bounds, where good triumphs over evil, and no matter what she ends up happily ever after all all eternity . . . now for anyone over a certain age that's just sentimental, cliche rubbish, but for an impressionable and hormonal youngster it's perfection and romance and something 'you'll never understand!'. So yeah, girls may like it, but women sure as hell don't. |

In all seriousness I can't explain the appeal to adults, but maybe someone else can, I'm sure there's bound to be one female Twilight fan somewhere on the forum . . . those people get everywhere. |

Yippee other people who dislike Twilight as much as I do^^
Okay so here's a question for the guys: Why do you feel the need to "talk" to a girls chest? (granted I'm 6' 3" so I have to deal with it all the time due to the fact most guys are eye level with my chest) but come on, most women don't stand there talking to your crotch. Here's another: Why do men have such an issue with women who are taller then them, out spoken and able to take care of themselves? Are all guys attracted to needy, clingy, tiny women, or is it just where I live? And one more: What is up with men and their control issues? Hehe, sorry that was more then I had planned on asking I guess I got carried away....Oh well.
