Yes, I realize but she/he included both meat and dairy products, which could be characterized as vegan as well, due to the different variations of vegetarianism and veganism.

In this case it may have nothing to do with morals, but for many it does. Also, how is being vegan actually healthy, unless you have certain dieting restrictions because your body has trouble processing certain foods? The human body is meant to have a certain amount of animal proteins, and foods such as tofu and nuts may have protein but we can't use it as well as we can with animal products. Also, being vegan doesn't stop you from eating the processed food that everyone else eats, and in some cases it's even worse to eat such products because they have to have so many chemicals put into them in order to create similar substances to those that aren't vegan. It's stupid that people give up so many of the nutrients that they need because they think it's healthy or they find it morally right.

woah now, that's a pretty tough stance to take don't you think!? People are stupid because they don't view the world exactly like you do? Gese!

When you learn to value the difference you find that people who are different than you are interesting.

The reason I talk to people who are different than I am is because I value their insights into the world. I can learn things that work (as well as don't work) and also just interesting things in general. If everyone was the same, why would I want to talk to you or listen to you? I would already know what you thought, what you ate, why you ate it, what you like and don't like to do, and why you bought those ugly ass bell-bottom jeans....heh

I understand people might not want to be vegetarians but you can not pretend for one minute that you ''need'' meat.

My simple mind cannot seem to grasp the relevance of this thread. "How do I tackle a vegetarian girl?" Wtf? You don't do anything. Just let her be a vegetarian. Why does it even matter? Unless she tries to force her beliefs and morals down your throat, then I see no problem.

Going pretty well Taking multivitamins and iron, tbh I'm not really missing out on a huge deal as I didn't eat that much meet beforehand, I just used to eat a lot of chicken. Things are so much easier now then they were a few years back, there is a lot more choice in the supermarkets for veggies. <3

Being a vegetarian doesn't mean you only eat processed foods; some eat a lot of raw or just cooked foods in general. I'm not going to list the wide variety of health benefits because it'll take up half this forum, but it does indeed have plenty of benefits. And the only thing stupid is the fact that you think it's stupid people have different diets (and opinions) other than your own. I find that incredibly close-minded. If you read up on the positives instead of just googling the negatives, you'll realize that there are plenty of alternative methods to gain the proper nutrients you need to stay healthy without consuming meat.

For me personally, I'm not a vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, etc. simply because I like the taste of meat and because I'm too lazy to even cook a proper meal after work to begin with.

Haha, yeah I know! : D You can get so many snacks and dishes that are appropriate for vegetarians these days. It's becoming quite fancy to be a veggie ; D Haha! I'd never give up chicken though. I love that shit <3

Like any sort of diet, Vegetarianism is good for most people, and I have millions of friends who are and they actually prefer it that way. Cuz it's less effort to cook, and also it keeps you healthier. I used to try to eat veggie every other day and meat alternatively because it's cheaper, especially if you're a poor student. I rather spend money on a salad than meat because i'd prefer the salad.

On the side of non-veggie though, it can be hard for some people to STAY veggie, not because they hate it. But because their body can't take it. Megan Fox and Julia Stiles had to stop being vegetarian for a while because they felt that whereas it did help their weight go down, they weren't able to get much strength from their diet. Like they needed more protein. Not to say Vegetarianism isn't bad, but everyone has different vegetarian diets. Not all vegetarian diets are the same. Like one person might love peppers and the next veggie might hate them.
