The definition of illusion doesn't apply to love. An illusion doesn't influence substance, and love influences a lot the body in many forms, especially chemical changes, which are physical changes.
For someone who hasn't yet felt real love, it might look like an illusion, but it isn't, its far from that. "Manganese? Is that manga language?" - lol? |

loving someone who doesn't love you can be very painful but far better to keep away from them than continue with hopeless love. |

Haven't you ever heard the sayings, "Blinded by love" or "Love is blind"? Those can be said for "real love", too. Love, I believe, is an illusion at first sight, but gradually, through circumstances and time, can become real, as illusions can. Or they may prove to be mere superficial/artificial illusions that eventually break, for a lot of reasons, one of which is the heart break described here. There's no such thing as happy endings, for when you find true love, happiness is everlasting.

Yeah, I've had my heart broken a couple of times... After being in a verbally abusive relationship, it's been hard to regain my old confidence again... Follow that up with 2 relationships that I was cheated on, and my trust is now gone... So, until I regain my trust in others and my former confidence, I am swearing off guys... I'm tired of the constant heartbreak... Granted, it's now been about three years already since I've been in a relationship, I only just now feel like my broken heart is healing.
Funny, the fickleness of emotions... |
