I'd say just be honest. Don't give him/her the cliche ''It's not you - it's me'', cause that'd just be like making a fool of them. Tell them how it is - don't sugar coat it, make it understandable but don't be a dick. It's pretty simple. Try'n reverse the situation - how'd u wanna get dumped? lol

I'd want to have it figured out without having to have it told to me. So I could bring it up myself, have it become a mutual thing.
