I'm making this short, simple, and sweet. I was raped as a child and it is a horrible experiance, however I do not have a problem with the word being used so loosely. Those are just ignorant people who want to flant their stupidity and lack of knowledge. Yes, you can ask then to refrian from saying the word in that manner, but under no obligation must they listen to you. It's not the word that matters, it's the meaning of the word and if they mean something else then what you are thinking you have no right to tell them to stop. It's not the WORD that makes you feel like that it's the MEANING behind it. So don't get mad at people for using the word get mad at people for the meaning in which they use it.

It is impossable to change the mind set of all people. All you can do is ask them to change, but that doesn't mean they will The best thing you can do is live with it. I'm not saying you have to like it or anything, you just have to ignore it.

The whole point is that I don't like them using it in that meaning.
No they don't have to listen, you don't have to listen to anything that anyone tells you.
However based on your philosophy there should be no order at all.
Thing is, you can break as many rules as you want but you have to be ready to face the aftermath.

It's common manners as I've said numerous times.
I wasn't even expecting a rule, however after asking these people nicely to stop and getting rude responses.
I do believe something should be done about it.
It's inconsiderate and hurts.
And
It's a bad influence on people learning english.

No the word shouldn't be banned but them using it in mocking meaning should.
And how would JF keep the mocking word off the forum alot of people are asking, temporary bans after being warned.
